Their motto is, “you don’t have to be Vegan to eat Vegan” and we’re Truly feeling that. Located in Delray Beach, The New Vegan is more than just a restaurant.
Owned by Rahein and Patricia Jones, The New Vegan focuses on meals that are nutritionally valuable and flavorful because they believe you shouldn’t have to choose between taste and health. Their menu offers a variety of 100% plant-based meals with a combination of raw, cooked, baked, and grilled selections. They’re committed to maintaining a non-GMO, dairy-free, wheat-free, soy-free, and gluten-free kitchen.
Examples of some of these insanely flavorful and healthy options include a Grilled Cheese No Cheese Sandwich, a Palm Toona Melt, Falafel Burgers, and a Raw Curry Plantain dish that is to die. (Check out their full menu here and get ready to be hungry.)
In addition to cooking up all that goodness, Rahein and Patricia focus on educating the community on the benefits of eating vegan. And they do this in a supremely legit way by teaching cooking classes to aspiring and new vegans and showing folks all the amazing vegan alternatives that are available. Their goal is to ease the transition and show people a sustainable vegan lifestyle.
With a mission to create easily accessible plant-based foods for the next generations of vegans, The New Vegan offers a vegan super-food subscription for healthy, easy to prepare meals delivered to your door. You can also purchase their vegan burger mix and they offer school lunch options.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, The New Vegan has worked hard to give back to the community. They’ve donated meals to first responders at local hospitals, police officers, and the homeless.
“During these tough times, we’ve been giving back because we’re all one and we’re in this together,” said Patricia Jones.
Truer words were never spoken.
